Act! Obsolescence Policies: Why you should upgrade now

Several years ago, the manufacturer of Act! instituted an obsolescence policy in line with other software companies.  The Act! obsolescence policies are broken down into two sections:  upgrade pricing and technical support.   You are eligible for upgrade pricing if you are on the current release or two prior releases of Act!.  Currently, Act! 2013 and Act! 2012 users are eligible to purchase upgrades.  We anticipate that Act! 2012 will no longer be eligible for upgrades sometime in 2014, yet to be announced.  Many clients find themselves needing to upgrade due to new hardware or operating systems.  We recommend checking the Act! system requirements prior to purchasing hardware to avoid this.  Planning for an upgrade is key.   You can save $190 - $124 per license depending on the quantity of licenses.

In addition to the upgrade policy, Swiftpage (the manufacturer of Act!) supports the current release and up to two prior releases of Act! in regards to software issues and bug fixes.  A version is generally phased out in November of each year.  Currently, Act! v16, Act! 2013 and Act! 2012 are supported.  Act! 2011 and older versions are no longer supported by Swiftpage.  However, if you have an older version of Act!, you can still purchase support from TopLine Results.  For more information on our support options or upgrade pricing email info@toplineresults.com or call us at 800-880-1960.
