Office 365 and Dynamics 365 Platforms: Better together

Office 365 and Dynamics 365 Platforms: Better together

You’ve probably heard it already: Microsoft is doing well in the stock market, and its cloud business is growing fast.  The company is successfully transforming itself from being a software provider to becoming a cloud service provider.

And Microsoft is not just providing its Office Suite in the cloud, but also on the desktop.  This is an unprecedented move that allows us to still enjoy the "offline" software installed on our PCs and Macs while using the "online" version on those same machines as well as on mobile devices and smartphones.

The online platform allows Office 365 users to have emails hosted in the Microsoft cloud, so now you can include Microsoft exchange as part of your suite, enabling the sharing of calendars and tasks.  This helps eliminate hardware and provides increased security, including greatly reducing spam. Additionally, you can use Microsoft SharePoint to manage and share documents.  You can also use Teams to collaborate on OneNote documents.  Very effective!

With the advent of Dynamics 365, you will be able to integrate with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software.  Microsoft recently launched Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.  This web-only solution is based on the very successful Navision ERP software. So, if you are looking for a flexible ERP that integrates with Dynamics CRM, look no more.  It is here, and new features are being released at a rapid pace.
