Where it all began...
A little over twelve years ago, I sat in a Microsoft Office classroom in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, ready to take my certification course on Constant Contact. At the time, I was the Marketing Coordinator at TopLine Results, helping shape our corporate email marketing strategy. We were using Act! eMarketing back then, but I wanted to deepen my understanding of email marketing best practices.
During the training, I learned about branding, managing unsubscribes, and best practices for email templates. I left inspired and began building email templates and setting up automations.
Over time, we switched to Constant Contact for our email marketing and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for our CRM. As we continued expanding our email marketing, I faced the common, tedious task of importing and exporting lists. This hassle was all too familiar for our company and, come to find out, our customers. So, I started to explore ways to avoid this. That’s when I discovered a tool to integrate Constant Contact with Microsoft Dynamics 365, allowing me to transfer lists and email results between the systems.
Our Solution
Although this integration software was great in theory, it had major bugs and was often more of a headache than a help.
