Choosing Marketing Campaigns in Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Microsoft Dynamics CRM gives you two great options to track your marketing activities:  campaigns and quick campaigns.  Quick campaigns allow you to track a single campaign activity and its success rate.  For example, use a quick campaign for a holiday direct mail piece or for an email blast on a one-time promotion.  Quick campaigns in Microsoft Dynamics CRM are simple and easy-to-use with the built-in  wizard which walks you through each step to complete the activity.

If your campaign will involve multiple marketing activities or will require tracking your campaign budget, choose the full campaign feature in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.  Unlike the more limited quick campaign feature, campaigns in Microsoft Dynamics CRM allow you to track multiple marketing and planning activities such as email, direct mail, and phone calls all in one place.  Track your marketing budget expenditures by assigning a cost to each activity.  As campaign activities are entered, associated costs will be automatically calculated.  By comparing your response rate against your total costs you will be able to easily find your ROI on your campaign.  Below is an overview of the campaign view in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
