TopLine Designer v.2 for ACT! 2008 (v.10.0.2)

TopLine Designer was created to tap into the capabilities of ACT! custom tables available in ACT! 2008 v10.02. TopLine Designer can create new tables as sub-entities of the contact, company or group tables.  ACT! users can easily navigate between "custom table tabs" and their corresponding "custom table list views" and enter data into "custom screens". TopLine Designer allows you to use the tables, organize your views, search and report on any custom table available in your database.

What's new in Version 2.0.  TopLine Designer 2.0 introduces snippets (.NET scripting) allowing for advanced calculations and task automation.  The latest version has the ability to mail merge custom-table content to Microsoft Word. Import data from external data sources such as CSV and Microsoft Excel.

Organize your custom list views. The ACT! user is able to build custom list views for quick reporting and create look-ups based on custom table fields.  Click to drill-down on custom list views and even embedded custom screens. As a user, you can organize your list: sort by custom table fields, set filters, build on-the-fly, powerful custom table queries and use calculations.

Report Instantly with the TopLine Dash for enhanced reporting capabilities; it allows for interactive reporting and the ability to quickly generate and save queries for quick review. TopLine Designer is also compatible with TopLine Alerts for report automation. TopLine Designer has a tight integration with MS-Excel and respects the TopLine Designer grouping feature available in any list views or lists associated with custom tabs. The ACT! Designer can report on the entire new custom table sub-entity.

Pre-built database templates are already created and address common business needs (e.g. customer service tracking, project tracking, expense tracking and more) The TopLine Designer also comes with a number of industry specific database templates (e.g. Insurance, Banking, Manufacturing and more) TopLine Designer solutions comes as schema templates that can be easily applied to any database by the ACT! administrator using the TopLine Designer Import Wizard.

Build your own database schema around custom tables. The administrator can design custom tables, fields, build the relationships, create calculations and build custom screens.  A table creation and building relationships wizards allow the administrator to quickly  tap into the power of embedded custom tables. Our graphical table schema shows all the relationships between the tables. The import schema wizard applies the customizations to another database within minutes.

TopLine Designer follows the ACT! rules and security model. Like in ACT!, the administrator gets create the schema. When you create a new field or new table in a schema in a database, it is replicated in the remote database. The data and database schema synchronizes using the same synchronization service.
