Where is the metadata for TopLine Designer stored?

All screen layouts, relationship information and calculations are stored in the Layouts folder within the ACT! database supplemental files.

I already have a field within one of my sub-entities that contains the IDs for another table and I want to link those two tables together using that ID. How do I do this?

See the section on creating a relationship without using the wizard.

Are the fields in user created tables accessible to be used in templates, mail merges, or for creating contracts?

The fields can be merged to Designer templates in the current release.

Can you set "Tab" or "Enter" sequence in the data entry screen?

Tab stops are set automatically, left to right and top to bottom.

Can the data entry window be resized and it will open that size each time later? Can you have it open up maximized each time?

The size of the data entry window is set by the administrator in the Designer.

Do you expect to soon provide the ability to do advanced calculations between the fields?

Version 2.0 allows for scripting using Microsoft .NET functions.  We've included an easy editor and several sample snippets to get your started.
